I was driving in the Lake George area of New York State, when I noticed this small structure in a field on the side of the road.
It’s hard to know what this is … a small structure that sunk into the ground due to a lack of a proper foundation? The one and only window and light source for an underground home? A small exposure of what is otherwise an underground bomb shelter?
Here’s a closer look. At the time I took this picture, I had simply pulled over on the side of the road and took the picture from a distance. I wish I had walked over there for a closer look …
