An unidentified bronze sculpture at Asbury Park

I was visiting Asbury Park today, just wanting to enjoy the boardwalk and the ocean, despite being too cold to spend any time sitting on the beach. As I was approaching the boardwalk and the Convention Center area, I noticed this pickup truck parked in front of me. The guy was busy unwrapping and unloading this large bronze sculpture … or was he taking it away? It was hard to tell, but I also can’t figure out who the sculpture is supposed to be. Considering it’s a guy with a guitar, and this is Asbury Park, home of The Stone Pony, is this supposed to be Bruce Springsteen?

Here’s another couple of views, much closer up … even though the face doesn’t look like Bruce Springsteen to me, this last view, with the visible headband, might suggest that it’s supposed to be The Boss. Does anyone recognize this sculpture, or know anything about it? If so, please share some info in the comments section below.
