Hoping to dine on a deserted island

I was looking around in Marion Royael Gallery in Beacon, NY, when I noticed this table with an ocean and island scene on top. My first thought was: wouldn’t this be a great dining table, so that I could eat my meals with my plate providing me with views of a deserted island?

It turns out it’s actually a side table, seeing as there’s a shelf underneath and therefore no place for one to fit a chair (and legs) under the table to actually sit at it, but I still love the idea. I asked the gallery owner about it, and he said the artist is Joe Zarra, and this ocean scene is actually based on the Hawaiian Islands. The table was made in 2018, and has a resin top with a barnwood base.

The gallerist suggested that one might be able to commission the artist to make a dining table with a similar ocean scene top, but the suggested ballpark price range was a bit higher than the current Manzo Dakota budget. Nevertheless, it would be a great conversation piece and a very artistic table to own, don’t you think?
