The endless energy of Mick Jagger

I had a chance to see The Rolling Stones in concert last Sunday, and it was my first time seeing them live. They were amazing! They had MetLife Stadium filled and the place was rockin’. But the thought that stuck with me throughout was: how does an 80 year old Mick Jagger run around that big stage, singing, dancing, and doing “Mick Jagger moves” for 2 hours with no intermission? Granted, he did get a two song break when Keith Richards (also 80 years old and seen below) sang a pair of tunes, but Mick’s energy level was quite astonishing.

The other interesting thing was the audience – the age range that I witnessed was everything from a young couple with their 3 year old to people in their late 70s or maybe even into their 80s. After two hours of high energy rock ‘n roll, it was a bit strange to leave the stadium and see an elderly person shuffling out using a walker … but hey, that person probably grew up with the Stones, so why not?
