Whimsical animal sculptures at the front door in Easton, PA

I was walking around Easton, PA, exploring the West Ward on foot, when I noticed some brightly colored shapes attached to a front door of a home on Washington Street. A closer look revealed them to be small animal sculptures, and there were a number of them surrounding the front door. As you can see above, we’ve got a blue squirrel making his way up the left side of the door frame, peeking up and over to his right, where he sees a black cat standing guard. To the right of the black cat, it appears to be another squirrel, this one a little smaller than the first and standing upright, perhaps unaware to the cat.

There’s two more views in the picture below, at left, the view as I came up on this home, and below right, a wider view of what you see above. As you can see, there’s another large squirrel, this one bright orange, who is also perched vertically along the right edge of the door. The fact that both squirrels were attached to the door frame, it was an unusual art installation of sorts. The whole scene is rounded out with some red birds fluttering above the planters.

This home decor would certainly suggest a creative person living inside … I wonder what kind of surprises one can find in there?
