I was recently down in the area of Freehold, NJ, and decided to take a look around. Part of it was some real estate research – there were some affordable homes on the market (seen on Zillow), and Freehold is not far from the beach, but I had never been there before and thought I’d look around.
As I was walking down Broadway (also known as Route 79), I saw this guy on the side of the road. I believe it’s a gas meter, or perhaps a gas regulator, but someone has attached some plastic “googly eyes” in just the right place, which along with the suggestion of a nose, a neck, and some broad shoulders, makes for a little man standing guard on Broadway. One could further analyze the anatomy of this figure and suggest some other body parts, but I’ll let it go and let you consider it for yourself here below.
